" Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory …

“ Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
– Philippians 2:9-11 (NKJV)
The name of Jesus is not just a religious password; it embodies power, authority, and victory recognized in heaven and on earth. As believers, we have the privilege and authority to wield this name as a weapon in every area of our lives.
Often, even among believers, the name of Jesus is reserved for emergencies or church activities. However, the Bible encourages us to live confidently in His name. Proverbs 18:10 tells us, “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” This means we should apply His name throughout our week—in our families, at our jobs, regarding our health, and within our thoughts. Speak the name of Jesus when fear arises. Declare it when confusion attempts to cloud your mind. Call on it when darkness surrounds you. When life threatens to overwhelm you, speak His name and let His peace reign. Allow the name of Jesus to take charge in your life; there is victory in His name.
The name of Jesus is not just a religious password.
The name of Jesus is a weapon of warfare. When it is spoken, demons flee. When declared in faith, chains break. As Christians, we must not only believe in this name but use it boldly. Every time you utter the name “Jesus,” you are not merely suggesting; you are enforcing divine authority with a name above all names.
Do not wait until Sunday or the next midweek service to wield this weapon. Do not wait for the next turbulent flight or nightmare to cry out the name of Jesus. Declare it today and watch everything bow to the authority of Christ (Philippians 2:10).

Prayer – Dear Lord, help me not to undermine the power in your name. Let me not get familiar and trivialise it. Help me to confidently and authoritatively apply Your name in all areas of my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
