The blessing of God goes beyond helping you, it has the power to change your story. In our bible text, Jacob was about to bless the sons of Joseph – Manasseh and Ephraim but something unexpected happened. By natural order, the firstborn (Manasseh) should have received the greater blessing. In this case, Jacob crossed his hands and placed the greater blessing on the younger (Ephraim). This was not a mistake. It was intentional. With that action (the blessing), He changed the order of birth without them going back into the womb.
The blessing can override natural order. It can rearrange outcomes without rewriting your past. It can elevate you beyond what your background, timing, or position would normally allow.
Here’s an example to illustrate this point. Imagine you are standing in a long line, waiting your turn, expecting that it will take time before you are noticed. Then suddenly, someone with authority steps in, calls your name, and moves you to the front. You did not change when you arrived. You didn’t go back to start again, but your position changed. That is what the blessing does. It reorders things in your favour.
The blessing can override natural order.
Not only did Jacob reverse the order, but he also elevated Ephraim and Manasseh to the same level as their uncles. That means they were promoted beyond their original position. The blessing does not just restore, it elevates. It moves you forward, lifts you higher and positions you differently without requiring you to rewrite your history. Every order that has been against your destiny is changed in your favour by the blessing of God in Jesus’s name!
So, if you have ever felt like you are behind, overlooked, or delayed, the blessing of God will rewrite it. Today, reflect on any area where you feel “behind” or limited by your past. Bring it before God and trust Him to reorder things in your favour.

Father, thank You that Your blessing can change my story. Every negative order working against my life, I ask that You reverse it. Promote me according to Your will and reposition me for Your purpose. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
