“Therefore may God give you of the dew of heaven, of the fatness of the earth, and plenty of grain and wine. Let peoples serve you, and nations bow down to you…”
– Genesis 27:28–29 (NKJV)
“May God give you heaven’s dew and earth’s richness, an abundance of grain and new wine.” – Genesis 27:28
The blessing of God is not meant to remain hidden; it is meant to be seen, experienced, and expressed. It is not merely a theological concept; it is a divine empowerment that produces tangible results.
When Isaac blessed Jacob in Genesis 27, he did not speak empty words. He released real and substantial dimensions of blessing, divine provision, abundance, influence, honour, and recognition. This reveals that the blessing operates across multiple spheres: it touches heaven, the earth, and people. When God’s blessing rests upon a life, circumstances begin to align, resources respond, and people are moved to recognize what God is doing.
That is what it means for the blessing to gain expression.
Consider a seed planted in the ground. At first, it appears that nothing is happening. The seed is buried, and its progress is hidden from sight. Yet beneath the surface, life is unfolding. With time, the seed takes root, breaks through the soil, and becomes visible. Eventually, it produces fruit that everyone can see.
The blessing of God often works in the same way. It may begin quietly and develop in hidden places, but it is not meant to remain concealed forever. In due season, it breaks forth and produces visible fruit.
The blessing of God is not meant to remain hidden
The blessing makes the evidence of God’s hand upon your life undeniable. It is reflected in your growth, progress, results, influence, and impact. Human effort is important, but effort alone has limitations. The blessing of God empowers your labour, gives increase to your seed, preserves the fruit of your work, and produces outcomes beyond your natural ability.
Effort may take you far, but the blessing carries you farther with grace, speed, and preservation.
Perhaps you have been diligent, faithful, and consistent, yet the results you desire have not become visible. Do not give up. Continue to work faithfully but also seek the activation and expression of God’s blessing. Ask Him to breathe upon your efforts, remove every hindrance, and cause what He has deposited within you to become evident.
When the blessing begins to speak, progress becomes visible, fruitfulness emerges, and God receives the glory.
Today, do not pray merely to be blessed. Pray that the blessing you carry will find full expression in your spiritual life, relationships, finances, work, influence, and impact.
Prayer
Father, thank You for the blessing You have placed upon my life. Let it not remain hidden or dormant. Cause it to find full expression in every area of my life; spiritually, financially, professionally, and through my influence. Breathe upon the work of my hands, remove every hindrance to fruitfulness, and make the evidence of Your hand upon my life undeniable. May my progress and impact bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
