Law Of Attraction: Partnership

“And when she had finished giving him a drink, she said, “I will draw water for your camels also, until they have finished drinking””

- Genesis 24:19 (NKJV)

Partnership is the cornerstone of strong relationships. A valuable partnership goes beyond appearances or temporary attractions—it involves mutual support, shared goals, and the ability to bring out the best in each other. The story of Rebekah in Genesis 24 illustrates this principle beautifully.

Rebekah’s actions speak volumes about her character. She not only quenched the servant’s thirst but also went the extra mile by drawing water for his ten camels. Considering the effort required—approximately 500 gallons of water—this was a significant demonstration of hard work, selflessness, and value. This teaches us that meaningful relationships are built when both partners actively contribute to each other's well-being.

Physical attraction may initiate interest, but it cannot sustain a meaningful relationship. Rebekah did not just present physical beauty—she demonstrated inner beauty through her diligence and willingness to help. A valuable partner brings intellect, skills, encouragement, and purpose to the relationship.

True partnership is built on mutual value and purpose.

Proverbs 31 describes the virtuous woman as industrious, wise, and a blessing to her household. She adds value to her husband and family through her actions, wisdom, and dedication. Being a woman of substance means being prepared for partnership by investing in personal growth and development. When you have your strengths and abilities, you complement rather than rely entirely on your partner.

For Women: Develop skills, knowledge, and habits that make you a strong and independent individual.

For Men: Seek partners who demonstrate not just beauty but substance, as they will stand by you through life’s challenges.

Genesis 2:18 (NKJV) declares: “And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” A true partnership involves complementing each other’s strengths and weaknesses. It’s about sharing a vision and working together to achieve it. Rebekah’s willingness to help without being asked showed her potential as a partner who could support and contribute to a shared goal.

Focus on character, values, and the potential for meaningful collaboration in relationships. True partnership is built on mutual value and purpose. A valuable partner invests in themselves and their relationship, ensuring that both grow stronger together.

Cultivate qualities that make you a person of worth and seek to complement others with wisdom and love.
