There is a lot to enjoy when you carry the Blessing of God wherever you go and in whatever you do. The presence of God’s Blessing in your life and around you is evidence of fruitfulness.
Gen 1:27, 28 shows that the image of God gives man identity while the blessings of God give functionality. God pronounced blessings on his creature (man and woman) after creation and immediately enhanced their functionality for them to be fertile and multiply.
As a child of God, you are already entitled to partake in his blessings. Proverbs 10:22 disclosed that it is the blessing of the lord that brings riches (makes you fruitful) and if you are under his banner, you are covered by the blessing.

God's Blessings makes an impact in the lives of those around you
In so many examples, the Bible has shown us that the presence of God’s blessing in your life can be contagious wherever you go because you become a shining light to others.
Using the NIV bible, Gen 30:30 reads “The little you had before I came has increased greatly, and the LORD has blessed you wherever I have been…”
The image of God gives man identity while the blessings of God give functionality
This was Jacob reminding his father-in-law, Laban that since he stepped into his house, and because of the presence of the blessing of God in his own life, everything (wealth, children, resources) had increased manifold.
God's Blessings makes you prosper, even in difficulty
Also, remember the story of Joseph who was sold to slavery by his brothers. No one could have imagined the kind of life that awaited him in his new abode. But even in captivity, the Lord did not abandon him as he made the presence of his blessing radiate all over the lad.
Gen 39: 2 says “The LORD was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master.”
Joseph not only became the right-hand man and controller of Potiphar’s household, but he also became the right-hand man of the most powerful king, Pharaoh, courtesy of God’s blessing in his life.
The faces of God's blessings that can transform your life
When we think of "God's blessing" we may be tempted to think of it as just one thing.
It is indeed true that there is a Blessing from God that transforms our lives like with Jacob. But that Blessing often manifests practically in different forms in our life. We already looked at God's blessings and dominion in this article.
But there are related dimensions of this, and being able to recognize and even incite these manifestations will help lead more victorious lives as believers.
1. God's blessing that destroys the work of the enemies
The presence of the blessing of God in your life is enough to make you a terror to the enemy. Every time they set their eyes on you, they tremble in fear. Anywhere you go, the works of darkness are shredded.
In 1 John 3:8, we learn that the reason the son of God came was to put fears and scatter the work of the enemies.
This simply means that He will never leave you, He will always be by your side, He will always bless you and you need not have any fear (Hebrew 13:5-6) in the journey of life.
What can any mortal do to you if you enjoy God’s blessing? Absolutely nothing.
When David said “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil… (Psalm 23:4)”, he was confident that the enemy cannot touch him because he enjoys God’s blessing.
The presence of God, same as the terror of God, makes the enemies scared of touching you (Gen 35:5) .... they will be looking at you from afar.
Even when the enemy makes any attempt, God’s unique blessing in your life will not make them harm you.
When Jacob ran with his wife and Laban caught up with him, he couldn't harm him (Gen 31:29).
2. God's blessing that provokes the act of God (The Miraculous)
God's blessing carries with it the power to cause an act of God. That is, something that overrides the normal order of things. This is what is often referred to as "miraculous". And the Bible contains many instances of God's blessing invoking His acts.
One telling example is the life of Abraham. God's promise to make Abraham the father of many nations was made long before it manifested. But God's blessing worked it out in Abraham's life through God's acts.
In particular, causing his wife Sarah to miraculously conceive and bear a son even when she was way past the age. Medically, it was impossible for Sarah to conceive so late in life.
But an act of God manifested because Abraham carried God's blessing, making the seemingly impossible happen anyway! (Gen 21:6-7).
When you carry God's blessing, the same miraculous possibility is available to you! And you exercise dominion. You can read more about dominion and how to activate it in this article.
3. God's blessings that releases grace
Grace makes all the difference in the life of a believer. The Bible tells us that we are saved by faith, but through grace.
When you enjoy the Blessings of God, you must be attentive not to let the grace slip. It is one thing to dwell in the blessings, it is another thing to stay humble.
The body is always competing with the spirit to fulfill its desire but you need the blessing of God that releases grace to continue to do the will of God. There will always be challenges but there is a blessing that makes a man do the will of God.
Paul acknowledged in 1 Corinthians 15:10 that he is nothing and nobody without the grace which empowers him to work harder in His vineyard.
There will always be challenges but there is a blessing that makes a man do the will of God.
He further stressed in Philippians 2:13 that it is God that helps you to will and to do His good pleasure. You need the grace to do this.
But it is important to stay humble in grace. This is because most of the time when people see the blessing of God manifest with his grace in you, they tend to revere you.
When the Angel of the Lord told Cornelius in Acts 10:25-26 to meet with Peter, he wondered the kind of man Peter was for an angel to reference him. He fell at Peter’s feet in worship. But Peter stayed humbled.
He told Cornelius not to worship him because he was a man like him.
Paul also wanted to worship an Angel in Rev 19:10 but the Angel stopped him, “.... I am just like you, a fellow servant".
Remember that all the blessings, gifts and talents you possess belong to God and you actually own nothing. Always stay humble in his grace.
Do have a blessed week ahead in Jesus' name.
