"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus"

God wants to bring you into blessing; however, it begins with the renewal of your mind. It is difficult for a person to move into a new level of operation if they are still carrying a mind or consciousness below where God wants them to be.
Our minds are so important for the expression of God’s will and His blessings, that God tells us in His word in Proverbs 23:7 that as a man thinks in his heart, so is he! Could the matter be any clearer? Your life, your circumstances, everything around you—who you are— is a product of your mind.
Your mind even affects your body. Modern science has indicated that a large proportion of common diseases in our world today find their root causes in the mind. It therefore follows that if we indeed have the mind of Christ as we are encouraged to in our main text, then we should also have perfect health.

In 2nd Timothy 1:7, The Bible shares some of the characteristics of a mind that God has touched. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. A sound mind is a mind that thinks peacefully. Your thinking should be sharp and sound as a blessed child of God. You have access to God’s spirit and so your decisions should also be sound.
Also, in Isaiah 11: 2, we read: The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
The streams of the Spirit of God promised in this scripture, are expressed through the mind—wisdom, understanding, counsel and knowledge. Therefore, to have God’s spirit, is to have a sound mind. Confusion is not your portion as a blessed child of God. Neither is indecision or imprudence in conduct.
We must take this seriously and begin to call it forth into our lives. We learnt in an earlier devotional; it is compulsory to carry the consciousness of the blessing. Likewise, we must carry the consciousness of this blessing of a sound mind.
Pray this blessing through in your life today—ask God for what He promised in 2nd Timothy 1:7 and Isaiah 11:2. May fear be gone and may a sound mind be your portion. May the streams of the spirit of God touch your mind and cause you to begin to manifest and operate in the blessing of a sound mind. In Jesus Name!

Prayer - I declare God’s blessing over my mind today. According to the word of God in 2nd Timothy 1:7, I have a sound mind! May the divine soundness of my mind begin to manifest in all my thinking, decisions and conduct. This is God’s will for me, and I lay hold on it today! From now, I begin to manifest this reality. In Jesus Name. Amen
