“And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.”
– Joel 2:28 (NKJV)
Dreaming by the Holy Spirit is not something distant or reserved for a few. It is an invitation, a quiet and open door that God has already made available to us.
Scripture tells us that when the Spirit is poured out, dreams and visions follow. This means that dreaming is not something we force; it is something that flows from the place of relationship. Where the Spirit is welcomed, vision begins to form.
There is something gentle about this. God does not rush us into it. He draws us into His presence, and from that place, He begins to show us things.
The Holy Spirit is the keeper of dreams and visions. When we draw near to Him, we begin to see. It may not happen at once and instantaneously, but something starts to open within us.
Sometimes it begins quietly, through prayer, through stillness, through moments when we turn our hearts toward God. As we remain there, clarity starts to grow.
Where the Spirit is welcomed, vision begins to form.
Scripture reminds us that when we are in the Spirit, we begin to hear and see. That is the way of the Spirit, not pressure, not striving, but abiding.
It can be easy to stop when nothing seems to happen right away. Yet dreaming by the Holy Spirit requires patience. It is like waiting for the light of dawn. At first, it is dim, but slowly, it becomes bright and clear.
When we stay in that place, praying, listening, and being present, something begins to form within us. Thoughts become pictures. Pictures take shape and become directions.
The process is quiet, but it is real.
Dreaming by the Holy Spirit reminds us that we are not alone in finding our way. We are not left to figure everything out on our own. There is One who lives within us, who knows, who searches, and who reveals.
Our part is to remain open, to welcome Him, and to trust that as we stay connected, He will bring clarity in His time.
And when He does, it will not feel forced. It will feel steady, clear, and certain.

We lift our hands in the sanctuary
We lift our hands to give You the glory
We lift our hands to give You the praise
And we will praise You for the rest of our days
(Yes) yes, we will praise You for the rest of our days

Prayer – Father, thank You for the gift of Your Spirit. Teach us to draw near and remain in Your presence. Open our eyes to see and our hearts to understand. Let Your Spirit guide us into the dreams You have prepared for us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
