“And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.”
– Luke 1:45 KJV
In Luke 1:42–45, we witness a powerful moment of prophecy. Elizabeth, once barren and now filled with the Holy Spirit, speaks words that carry divine weight: “Blessed is she who believed, for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.”
This revelation came when Mary entered her home carrying Jesus, the Seed of promise. The Holy Spirit connected what Mary carried with what Elizabeth carried, and something came alive within her. This shows a simple truth: what you carry determines what you release. When the Spirit fills you, your mouth becomes a channel for heaven’s words.
Elizabeth’s declaration echoes God’s sworn promise to Abraham in Genesis 22: “In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.” That seed was Christ, and now Mary carried the fulfillment of that oath. What God promised generations earlier was now becoming reality.
When the Spirit fills you, your mouth becomes a channel for heaven’s words.
Elizabeth’s response was not envy or comparison but celebration. She recognized the move of God and spoke life into it. When you are filled with the Spirit, you do not compete—you confirm. You do not tear down destiny—you declare it.
Beloved, the same God who kept His Word to Abraham and Mary will keep His Word to you. His promises are sure, and His timing is perfect. Stay full of the Spirit. Guard what you carry. And like Elizabeth, speak with faith: “There shall be a performance of what the Lord has spoken.”

Prayer – Father, in the name of Jesus, we thank You because You are the God who keeps His word and honors every promise You have sworn. Thank You for being the Author of our lives, the One who knows the end from the beginning. We acknowledge today that nothing You have spoken over us will fall to the ground unfulfilled. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
