“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us”
– Ephesians 3:20 (NKJV)
The seed does not look impressive. Fruits like mangoes and pomegranates, no matter how sweet their juicy content, often contain seeds that are avoided, scooped away, or even spat out while being eaten.
It rests quietly in the hand, small and ordinary, easy to overlook. Yet, hidden within that seed is a future no eye can fully measure. Branches are inside it. Fruit is inside it. Growth is inside it.
The tree is already there, even when it cannot yet be seen. Within that seed lies a plantation, an estate, and even more, an inheritance that can outlive the one who planted it.
As we continue exploring the theme of protecting our dreams, we are reminded that many people lose confidence because they judge what God gave them too early. They see only the seed and forget the harvest hidden inside it.
But God rarely begins with what looks large.
Joseph’s dream did not appear powerful at first. It seemed fragile, unformed, and easy to dismiss. Yet, heaven had already placed greatness within it. What others mocked, God was preparing. What others underestimated, God was establishing.
But unseen does not mean empty.
That is why we must learn to recognize what we carry.
Some dreams are still developing quietly beneath the surface. Some promises have not yet taken visible shape. Because of that, it becomes easy to think nothing significant is happening.
But unseen does not mean empty.
God often works deeply before He works visibly. A seed spends time hidden before it rises. Roots form before fruit appears. In many seasons of life, God is strengthening what cannot yet be seen.
This means we should not despise small beginnings. We should not speak carelessly about what God has planted in us. We should not allow discouragement to convince us that our dream lacks value simply because it has not yet fully appeared.
The idea must be nurtured. That dream must be protected. The small business started in a kitchen or garage could one day become a mighty one. Never give up; keep working on it.
What God places inside a person always carries more than it first reveals.
There is purpose in it. Grace in it. Possibility in it.
And when we begin to recognize what we carry, we stop treating it casually. We protect it. We nurture it. We trust God with it.
Because one day, what looks like a seed today may become a testimony tomorrow.

Prayer – Lord, help me to recognize the value of what You have placed inside me. Teach me not to despise small beginnings or overlook the seeds You have planted in my life. Strengthen my faith to trust You, even when I cannot yet see the full picture. Help me to nurture my dream with patience, wisdom, and hope. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
