Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.”
– 1 Corinthians 15:34 NKJV

God is looking for people who have awakened to His righteousness. He is seeking marriages that reflect His character, men and women who carry His presence, and a church that has returned to spiritual sensitivity. In this generation, God is calling His people to arise from spiritual sleep and reconnect with His righteousness.

The Bible says in Daniel 11:32 (NKJV), “The people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.” True spiritual strength does not come from talent, position, or human wisdom. It comes from knowing God intimately and walking in His righteousness. When righteousness is active in a believer’s life, supernatural exploits become possible. God begins to move through ordinary people in extraordinary ways.

Paul spoke with urgency when he declared, “Awake to righteousness.” This was not a casual suggestion; it was a spiritual alarm call. To awake means to return to spiritual awareness, to become alert again, and to realign with God’s nature. God desires a glorious church without spot or wrinkle, a people who reflect His character in a dark and confused world.

The greatest question a believer can ask is not, “What can God give me?” but rather, “What is God looking for in my life?” God is looking for a reflection of Himself within us. He desires that His glory, mercy, holiness, and righteousness shine through our lives. Christianity is not merely about receiving blessings; it is about becoming like Christ.

Christianity is not merely about receiving blessings; it is about becoming like Christ.

Jesus emphasized this truth in Matthew 5:6 (NKJV): “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” Hunger is evidence of life and growth. A healthy child desires food, and a healthy believer desires God. Spiritual hunger produces growth, maturity, and transformation. Many people hunger for success, breakthroughs, possessions, and recognition, but Jesus said the truly blessed are those who hunger for righteousness.

Whatever you hunger for will eventually fill your life. If you hunger for the world, the world will shape you. But if you hunger for God, His righteousness will transform you. This generation desperately needs believers who are spiritually hungry again, people who crave God’s Word, God’s presence, and God’s truth more than temporary pleasure.

Jesus reminded us that “man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.” The Word of God feeds the spirit and activates righteousness within us. A believer disconnected from the Word becomes spiritually weak, but one who feeds daily on God’s truth becomes strong and fruitful.

In Genesis 3:8 (NKJV), the Bible says Adam and Eve “heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden.” What a powerful image. God revealed Himself as a walking voice. Our God is not silent or distant; He is a God of movement. His voice walks through the gardens of our lives, through our marriages, our homes, our careers, and our hearts. The presence of God is a speaking presence. When God walks with you, He talks with you, guides you, corrects you, and transforms you.

In today’s noisy world filled with distractions and competing voices, the believer’s greatest need is to hear the sound of God again. The voice of God brings direction, peace, conviction, and righteousness. When His voice walks through your life, darkness must flee.

Today, God is calling His church to awaken, to hunger again, and to walk closely with Him. Hear the walking voice of God and allow His righteousness to shape every part of your life.
