“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you..”
– Isaiah 60:1 NKJV

One way to understand this call is through the acronym A.R.I.S.E.: Activating Righteousness, Inspiring Supernatural Exploits.

At the heart of our salvation is the gift of righteousness. Scripture tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NKJV), “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” When we receive Christ, we do not just receive forgiveness; we receive a new identity. We become the righteousness of God in Christ.

But righteousness is not meant to remain a theological concept; it must become a lifestyle. To activate righteousness means intentionally aligning our lives with God. It means making daily decisions that reflect who we are in Christ. Salvation gives us the position of righteousness, but our daily choices reveal the practice of righteousness.

Jesus illustrated this beautifully in John 15:5 NKJV, when He said, “I am the vine, you are the branches.” The Christian life is a life of connection. When we stay connected to Christ, His life flows into ours. And when we are connected, we can also collect His grace, His wisdom, His power, and His presence.

When our lives are aligned with God, something powerful begins to happen.

This is why righteousness matters so deeply. When our lives are aligned with God, something powerful begins to happen. Our lives start to inspire supernatural results. God did not create His children for ordinary living. Psalm 139:14 NKJV reminds us that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made.” We are designed to live lives that reflect God’s glory and power.

Every day, we decide whether we will walk in alignment with God or drift away from His purposes. Amos 3:3 NKJV asks a powerful question: “Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?

And Jesus summarized this principle in Matthew 6:33 NKJV: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” When we pursue God first, our lives create what we might call a spiritual pull, drawing the blessings, power, and provision of God into our lives.

When righteousness becomes the core of who we are, our lives begin to speak even before our words do. Our character, our speech, our decisions, and our attitudes all reflect the presence of God. As Jesus said, “By their fruits you shall know them.”

To ARISE means refusing to live passively. It means activating righteousness—God’s righteousness—daily, so that our lives become instruments of supernatural impact.

Prayer – Father, thank You for the gift of righteousness through Jesus Christ. We acknowledge that we could never earn this righteousness on our own, yet through Your grace. You have made us the righteousness of God in Christ. We surrender our hearts to You today and commit to walking in righteousness. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
