“And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.”
– Luke 1:6 (KJV)
Zechariah and Elizabeth were a faithful couple, righteous before God and blameless in their obedience, yet they remained barren in fruit. They had prayed, waited, and aged, and many might have counted them out. But God had not forgotten them.
While Zechariah was faithfully serving in his priestly duty, heaven intervened. An angel appeared with a divine message: “Your prayer is heard… your wife Elizabeth shall bear you a son.” The timing of God may feel delayed to us, but it is never late in His plan.
This was no ordinary child. He would be “great in the sight of the Lord,” filled with the Holy Spirit from the womb, and would walk in the spirit and power of Elijah. His birth was not just a miracle; it was a prophetic fulfillment.
Righteousness does not exempt you from waiting. But God never forgets faithfulness. You may feel hidden, but you are not forgotten. You are seen!
Delay is not denial – it is divine preparation. While they aged, God was aligning prophecy, timing, and purpose.
Prophetic fulfillment includes you. John came to “make ready a people prepared for the Lord.” His mission was not just to fulfill his own destiny but to prepare others for theirs.
Delay is not denial – it is divine preparation.
You Will Fulfill Prophecy
Jesus fulfilled every word written about Him. He is the Head, and we are His Body. If prophecy was fulfilled in Him, it must also be fulfilled in you. You are not just a passive Christian; you are a joint heir with Christ. What is true of Him, He intends to be true of you.
Just as John came to prepare the way, you are being prepared for something eternal. The anointing is not just for church services; it’s for your calling, healing, restoring, and confronting darkness. You are not just saved, you are sent.
Embrace your purpose and trust in God’s perfect timing. Your faithfulness will bear fruit, and you will fulfill the prophecies spoken over your life.
Declaration:
Say aloud: “If Jesus fulfilled prophecy, I will fulfill glorious prophecy. I will walk in the power of the Spirit. I will be a prepared vessel, and through me, many will be made ready for the Lord.”

Made For More
Song by Josh Baldwin, feat. Jenn Johnson
Prayer – Lord, make me sensitive to the prophetic timing of my life. Help me wait without giving up, serve without bitterness, and believe without fear. Let my life carry evidence of divine fulfillment. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
