“Which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.”
- 1st Corinthians 2:8 (NKJV)
One of the most encouraging revelations about the Deep Things of God is this: God can turn a disadvantage into an advantage.
When Jesus was crucified, everything seemed lost. His followers scattered. Hope appeared extinguished. To human eyes, the story ended in tragedy.
But heaven saw something entirely different.
The cross was not failure. It was fulfillment. It was the pathway through which God would redeem humanity.
This reveals an important truth about divine wisdom. God often works through situations that look negative. What seems like loss may actually be preparation. What feels like delay may be divine positioning.
The resurrection proved that the cross was not the end of the story.
In our own lives, we sometimes face seasons that resemble the crucifixion moment. Doors close. Plans collapse. Delays appear. Circumstances shift unexpectedly. It can feel as though everything is working against us.
Yet the wisdom of God remains active.
What we perceive as a disadvantage may hold hidden purpose. The Lord can transform the most difficult situations into testimonies of His power.
The resurrection proved that the cross was not the end of the story.
Joseph experienced betrayal before promotion. David faced opposition before kingship. The cross came before the resurrection.
We must learn to trust God even when circumstances seem unfavorable.
The deep things of God remind us that His wisdom reaches beyond the present moment. What feels painful now will one day reveal His greater glory.
Today, let us place our trust in the God who turns setbacks into stepping stones and disadvantages into divine advantages.
Song
Way maker, miracle worker,
Promise keeper, light in the darkness.
My God, that is who You are.
Prayer – Father, help us trust Your wisdom when circumstances seem difficult. Where situations appear to be against us, remind us that You are still working. Turn every apparent disadvantage into a testimony of Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
