“I said, ‘Lord God, you used your great power and strength to make the earth and the sky. Nothing is too difficult for you to do.”
- Jeremiah 32:17 (EASY)

God’s power is always available to us. The question is: how do we access it? Scripture shows us three key ways – through faith, through our restored identity in Christ, and through impartation by the Holy Spirit. These are the channels through which we “plug in” and experience His power in our daily lives.

Faith – Knowing Who God Is

Faith begins with knowing God – His character, His works, and His unchanging nature. Jeremiah declared: “Ah, Sovereign Lord, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for You.” –  Jeremiah 32:17

We are not dealing with a God who might be powerful. We serve the God who has always been powerful, who is still powerful today, and who will remain powerful forever.

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” –  Hebrews 13:8

“I the Lord do not change.” –  Malachi 3:6

When we remember what He has done in the past, it builds confidence that He can handle what we face today, if we choose to trust and rely on Him.

Our Restored Identity in Christ

Paul reminds us: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” – Ephesians 3:20. Another translation puts it this way: “With God’s power working in us, He can do much, much more than we could even think about.”

Stay plugged in—God’s power flows through faith, identity, and the Holy Spirit.

That’s the beauty of our new identity. We do not operate in our own strength. When we embrace our identity as children of God, we begin to see His power at work in us. “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.”  – 2 Corinthians 5:17. “You are no longer a slave, but a son.” – Galatians 4:7. To walk in power, you must first walk in identity.

Impartation Through the Holy Spirit

Jesus promised: “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.” – Acts 1:8. Think of walking into a dark room. The first thing you look for is the light switch. Until you flip it, the room remains in darkness. The Holy Spirit is that switch in our lives. When Adam sinned, humanity lost access to God’s power. But through the gospel—and by receiving the Holy Spirit—that power is restored.

When you feel weak, uncertain, or overwhelmed, remember, you are not powerless. The Spirit of God within you is your source of strength, guidance, and victory. The power of God is not distant – it’s already available. By faith, by embracing your identity in Christ, and by yielding to the Holy Spirit, you can live a life fully charged with His power.

Same Power

By Jeremy Camp

Prayer – Lord, I believe that Jesus died for my sins, He was buried, and He rose again. I believe that when I believe this, I enter the power of God. The power that was lost through Adam, You have restored through Christ. I receive it. I receive that power now not by striving, but by faith. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
