If you are serious about fulfilling your God-given destiny on this planet, you must learn how to handle drama. Jesus was entirely unstoppable, but His life was not a smooth ride. There was intense drama swirling around Him from birth till He died on the cross.
Herod wanted to kill Him. The religious elites publicly claimed He was demon-possessed. They labelled Him as a fraud, a liar, and a dangerous radical. When things heated up and got dangerous, His inner circle completely scattered. Peter denied ever knowing Him, Judas sold Him out, and the crowd that shouted “Hosanna!” on Sunday morning screamed “Crucify Him!” by Friday. Yet, none of that drama stopped Him from fulfilling His mission.
How did Jesus handle the deepest betrayals imaginable? He simply kept on loving. While Roman soldiers were driving iron spikes through His flesh, He looked up toward heaven and prayed, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Many believers allow offence to put their spiritual progress on pause. Someone hurts them deeply, and they decide, “That’s it. I’m never opening up again, I’m never trusting people, and I’m checking out.” When you react that way, you are letting outside drama dictate your eternal destiny! You cannot afford to carry the toxic baggage of past offences into a bright new season.
Shake it off!
Joseph understood this principle inside out. When he looked at the brothers who had thrown him into a pit, thought about killing him, and eventually sold him to slavery, and he said, “You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.” While the enemy is busy orchestrating your public shame, God is actually setting you up for glory. Where the enemy plans disgrace, God has provided unending grace. Do not allow offence to keep you locked inside a tomb. Look at your past disappointments, speak to your soul, and say, “Shake it off!” Shake off the gossip, leave the rejection behind, forgive instantly, and step boldly into your purpose.

Prayer – Lord Jesus, give me a heart that loves and forgives just as You do. Deliver me from the subtle trap of offence and bitterness, and give me the emotional strength to shake off the drama of life so I can fulfill my purpose. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
