The power of a dream is one of the ways God helps us rise into His plan for our lives. A dream is more than imagination. It is a picture of a better future placed in our hearts. When we carry a dream, we begin to see beyond where we are and step into where God is leading us.
Joseph’s story in Genesis 37 shows this clearly. Before anything changed in his life, he first saw something. He saw a future where he was lifted, where things were different. That dream became the starting point of his journey. In the same way, our lives begin to move forward when we receive a God-given picture of what can be.
A Dream Gives Direction
The power of a dream is that it gives direction. Without a dream, life can feel still and uncertain. But once a dream is present, there is movement. Scripture teaches us that vision causes us to run. When we see clearly, we begin to act differently. We begin to pursue.
A dream rarely shows every detail. Often, it reveals only the best part, the glimpse that encourages us to start moving. God uses that small picture to stir faith inside us. He knows what will inspire us to take the first step, so He reveals enough to awaken hope.
