“For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.”
– Habakkuk 2:3 (NKJV)
In John the Baptist, God sent a special child to the earth for a divine assignment. He couldn’t be early. He couldn’t be late. His birth was tied to a prophetic clock. If he had arrived a month too soon or a day too late, he wouldn’t have been the forerunner of the Messiah. His destiny was wrapped in perfect divine timing!
There are moments in life when delays feel like denials and promises seems forgotten. But behind the scenes, God is working with divine precision, aligning every detail for His perfect time. So, why did God delay the birth of John to aging parents like Zechariah and Elizabeth? Because their delay was not denial, it was divine orchestration.
Don’t confuse delay with denial. Though people may mock you. “Where is your God?” They may say, “Church, church, tithe, offering, show us the result!” But when God’s time comes, they will see.
They will see your joy!
They will see you lifted!
They will see your breakthrough!
They will witness your glory!
Because God makes all things beautiful in His time – Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NKJV). Even Zechariah doubted the angel’s words. After years of disappointment, it seemed too late. But God didn’t cancel the promise because of his unbelief. He simply overruled it.
When God’s time comes, they will see.
God sent Gabriel, the same angel who announced Christ, to declare John’s birth. That’s how much God valued the assignment. The same God who formed you from the dust can recreate any broken part of your life. If He made you once, He could make you again. He is the Lord of restoration.
Yes, we are taught to believe.
Yes, we are taught to stand in faith.
But there comes a moment when the glory of God breaks through, and even our doubt cannot stop it. Sarah laughed at the promise. Yet, the Lord visited Sarah as He had said.
God’s promise is not held hostage by your timeline, your age, or even your faith level. When His time comes, it overrules your unbelief – Ecclesiastes 3:11 (KJV).
You Are More Valuable Than You Know
Don’t judge yourself by your circumstances.
Don’t reduce your worth to a temporary delay.
You were purchased by the blood of God’s Son.
No wealth on earth can measure your value.

In His Time
By The Maranatha Singers
Prayer – Lord Jesus, thank You for being a God of appointed times. Help me to trust You, even when it looks like nothing is happening. Overrule my doubts. Revive every buried promise in my life. Let Your glory speak for me. I believe that my time will come, and at the appointed time, You will make all things beautiful. In Jesus’ name, Amen..
