“And the Lord spoke to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord: “Let My people go, that they may serve Me.”
– Exodus 8:1 NKJV
Salvation is not the end of the story—it is the beginning of an assignment. God did not deliver Israel from Egypt so they could rest in freedom; He delivered them so they could serve Him. In Exodus 8:1, God said, “Let My people go, that they may serve Me.”
We are saved to serve.
We are delivered to be dedicated.
We are freed to be faithful.
When Jesus conquered sin and death, He did more than rescue us from hell—He enlisted us into His kingdom’s service. Your service is not a favor you do for God; it is proof that you belong to Him.
Joshua declared, “Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve” (Joshua 24:15 NKJV). Service is the visible evidence of invisible devotion. Who you serve reveals who your true Master is. If other pursuits take priority over God, they become your gods.
Salvation is not the end of the story—it is the beginning of an assignment.
Zechariah’s story in Luke 1 shows that true servants remain faithful even in delay. Though old and disappointed, he kept showing up at the temple. His body had failed, his promise seemed forgotten, yet his service never stopped. That day, while burning incense, the angel appeared. The lesson is clear: God visits those who keep showing up.
You may feel unseen or weary in your service, but heaven notices. Every prayer, every quiet act of love, every unseen task—all of it is worship. Service is the language of gratitude. We do not serve to be blessed; we serve because God is worthy.
Deuteronomy 6:13 commands, “You shall fear the Lord your God and serve Him,” and Jesus echoed this in Matthew 4:10: “You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.” Worship comes first, then service. True service flows from true adoration.
Even when Zechariah doubted, God still honored his devotion. The angel said, “Your prayer has been heard.” Years had passed, faith had weakened, but his prayers still stood before God.
Beloved, don’t stop praying and don’t stop serving. Your imperfections do not disqualify you. God uses imperfect people with faithful hearts. Zechariah wasn’t perfect, but he was present—and that was enough for God to move.
Remember, salvation was not given just to escape Egypt but to serve the King.
Serve with joy.
Serve with humility.
Serve even when it’s hard.
In God’s kingdom, service is not just duty—it is destiny.

Here I Am to Worship

Prayer – Lord, thank You for saving me not just to live freely, but to serve faithfully. Help me to stay diligent in worship and service, even when life feels delayed. Let my hands, my time, and my heart honor You always. Amen.
