“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.’”
- Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)
Pursuing your dream does not end when the vision is written. Writing is only the beginning. Between the start and the fulfillment lies a journey that requires patience, consistency, and discipline.
It is completely normal to struggle through this process. At times, it feels slow, demanding, and even discouraging. Yet Galatians 6:9 reminds us, “Let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” The harvest will come.
Progress Happens in Steps
Progress is rarely one giant leap forward. It often unfolds through small, steady steps of faith. One of the most effective ways to move forward is by breaking your vision into smaller, actionable parts.
A dream becomes achievable when it is divided into simple, manageable steps. This keeps you from feeling overwhelmed and allows you to make consistent progress. Each small action may not seem significant at the moment, but over time, those steps create lasting growth.
The Power of Consistency
Consistency is the key that keeps momentum alive. It is not about doing everything all at once, but about doing something faithfully every day. Steady effort over time always leads to greater fruit than occasional bursts of passion.
Small, consistent actions build strength, discipline, and endurance. They lay the foundation for lasting results.
The Role of Discipline
Hebrews 12:11 reminds us,
“Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.”
Discipline may not always feel pleasant, but it is essential. It keeps us aligned with the vision when emotions fade. There will be days of tiredness, delays, or discouragement, yet every small act of obedience contributes to the larger outcome.
Even when progress seems invisible, trust that something is still growing beneath the surface.
The Strength of Persistence
Another important part of the process is persistence. We may stumble or face setbacks, but the key is to rise again and continue. Walking with God is not about perfection; it is about perseverance.
When we study the lives of those who walked closely with God, from Abraham to Joseph to David, we find one common thread: they kept moving. Their consistency became the bridge between promise and fulfillment.
Keep Moving Forward
Today, make a conscious decision to trust the process. Commit to taking small steps. Stay disciplined. Continue even when the path feels long or difficult.
God honors persistence. Every act of faith, every moment of obedience, and every step of consistency draws you closer to His promise.
Keep walking, believing, and keep pursuing your dream.
Bible in 1 year: Job 8-10
Prayer: Lord, give us the strength to remain consistent in the process. Help us not grow weary as we pursue our dreams. Teach us discipline and persistence, and lead us to the fulfillment of the promise, in Jesus’ name. Amen
