Rugged Faith to Breakthrough

“She pressed through the crowd and touched His garment…”  
– Mark 5:27-29 (NKJV)

Rugged faith is not passive; it is active and determined. It does not wait for conditions to become perfect before acting. Instead, it pushes through resistance, obstacles, and opposition. The woman with the issue of blood is a powerful example of this kind of faith. For twelve years, she had suffered, growing weak, isolated, and considered unclean. According to societal norms, she should not even have been in the crowd. But she refused to let those limitations stop her. Despite her condition, she pressed through.

Too often, we allow obstacles to become excuses.

The crowd did not make way for her. There was no special treatment and no guarantee of success. Yet she moved forward anyway. Why? Because rugged faith is not intimidated by opposition. It does not say, “There is no way.” It says, “I will find a way.” Too often, we allow obstacles to become excuses. A delay, a rejection, or a closed door can discourage us. But rugged faith sees obstacles differently; it sees them as challenges to overcome, not signs to quit.

We see the same kind of faith recorded in Mark 2-4; men carried their friend to Jesus but could not get in because of the crowd. Did they go home? No. They found another way; they broke through the roof. That is rugged faith. It refuses to back down. It refuses to settle. It refuses to quit. If one way is blocked, it looks for another. If doors are closed, it creates new ones.

You are not called to retreat. You are called to break through!

Prayer – Lord, give me the strength to press through every obstacle. Help me to remain determined and unwavering until I receive what You have promised. Amen.
