– John 6:16-19 (NKJV)
Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life, also breaks limitations. Not just small limitations, but the kind that feel final, immovable, and beyond human control. In the quoted text, Jesus broke a limitation beyond human control by walking on water. Water is not meant to be walked on. It is a natural boundary. In your life, this can represent what stops you, what slows you down and what whispers ‘You can’t go further than this?’
The disciples were in that exact situation. It was dark and the wind was against them. They had been rowing for miles, yet they were still struggling. They were doing everything right yet making little progress. And then, in the middle of that resistance, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat…(John 6:19, NKJV). The very thing that limited them did not limit Him. This is the nature of the Bread of Life. He does not go around limitations; He walks over them!
This is the nature of the Bread of Life. He does not go around limitations; He walks over them!
Now, examine your life. Ask yourself what limitations you are facing and who put them there? Because sometimes, we accept things in our lives that God never ordained. We adjust to restrictions, settle into patterns, and begin to believe, “This is just how it is.” But the Bread of Life interrupts that mindset.
Imagine being stuck behind a high wall. You have tried, climbing it, pushing against it, and searching for a way around it, but nothing works. Then suddenly, someone comes and simply lifts you over it. The wall is still there, but it no longer has power over you! That is what Jesus does. Every limitation over your career, your destiny, your body, your marriage, and your finances is broken now in Jesus’ name! This is not just about physical barriers. It is about anything that has said, “You cannot go further.”
Maybe it is a pattern in your life that keeps repeating. Maybe it is a delay that feels endless. Maybe it is a situation where you have done everything you know, yet nothing changes. Like the disciples, you may feel like you have been rowing for a long time. But the Bread of Life will change everything! The storm may still be there, but its power over you is broken.
Today, take a moment and honestly identify one area where you feel limited, something that has resisted change for a long time. Bring it before Jesus in prayer. Refuse to accept it as permanent. Speak God’s truth over it. The Bread of Life is meeting you right there!
