“Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him.”
- Deuteronomy 34:9 (NKJV)

One of the profound dimensions of the deep things of God is revealed in how wisdom is transferred from one vessel to another.

Joshua did not walk through all of Moses’ experiences. He did not personally witness every battle, burden, or breakthrough from the beginning. Yet Scripture declares that he was filled with the spirit of wisdom. How could this be? Because something spiritual was imparted – something unseen, yet unmistakably real.

Here lies a powerful mystery: God can bridge the gap of experience through impartation.

Human learning unfolds over years; lessons are gathered slowly through seasons of trial and triumph. But the Spirit of God can compress time. What might take decades to glean through hardship can be accessed in a moment through divine wisdom.

This does not replace the process of growth; it enhances it. It is a divine advantage. When the Spirit of wisdom rests upon a believer, discernment deepens; decisions become clearer, and direction grows steadier.

God can bridge the gap of experience through impartation.

The wisdom of God, ordained before the ages, is not far away. It is near. It can rest upon us. It can guide us in moments when human experience alone falters or fails.

Impartation is not imitation; it is participation in grace. Joshua did not become Moses, but he carried the wisdom required for his own assignment.

As we journey through the deep things of God, we must stay yielded to the Spirit’s inner work. We must prize alignment over ambition and humility over haste. For wisdom flows where hearts are surrendered.

Let us ask the Lord to fill us anew with the spirit of wisdom, to bridge the gaps in our understanding, to grant clarity beyond our years, and to clothe us with grace for the season to which we are called.

Song

Come fill me up

Holy Spirit pour out your love

Remind me that you’re more than enough

I’m longing for this moment with you

Cause you’re all that I want

Holy Spirit I need your touch

Remind me that you’re more than enough

I’m longing for this moment with you.

Prayer – Father, fill us with the spirit of wisdom. Where we lack experience, grant us understanding. Where we feel unprepared, release grace. Bridge every gap by Your Spirit and guide us in our calling. In Jesus’ name, Amen
