“There is a lad here who has five barley loaves and two small fish, but what are they among so many?.”
–  John 6:9 (NKJV)

One of the unmistakable signs of the Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life is the working of wonders. The Bread of Life multiplies what you place in His hands.

In John chapter 6, we see a situation that looked completely impossible –“Then Jesus lifted up His eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming toward Him, He said to Philip, ‘Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?’ But this He said to test him, for He Himself knew what He would do.” (John 6:5–6, NKJV). There were thousands of people, men, women, and children and yet, all that was available was painfully small. The boy had only five loaves of bread and two small fishes! With human logic, that can barely do anything but here is where the Bread of Life steps in.

In verses 11 – 12 of that same chapter, we see that Jesus gave thanks, distributed the little that was available and it fed thousands of people with surplus! That is a wonder! This is not just provision; this is overflow and this is the nature of the Bread of Life. He does not manage scarcity, He ends it. Today marks the end of scarcity in your life in Jesus’s name. Why? When Jesus is involved, your “not enough” becomes more than enough.

He does not manage scarcity, He ends it.

What you must do is to release what you have, the “little” you think is not enough, give it to Jesus, the Bread of Life. Think of it like placing a small seed into fertile soil. In your hand, it looks insignificant, but once it is surrendered and planted, it multiplies beyond what you could imagine. That is what happens when you release what you have into the hands of Jesus.

So, whether it is your finances, your time, your ideas, or your effort, what looks small to you is not small to Him. In the hands of the Bread of Life, little becomes much. So, the question for you today is: What is this little thing I have compared to what I need? Identify something in your life that feels insufficient maybe your resources, time, opportunity, or ability. Instead of holding back, release it to God. Trust Him to multiply it beyond your understanding.

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, You are the Bread of Life and the great multiplier. I bring what I have to You, no matter how small it seems. Bless it, break it, and multiply it. Remove every mindset of scarcity from me, and let me walk in Your abundance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
