“Truly You are God, who hide Yourself, O God of Israel, the Savior!”
 Isaiah 45:15 (NKJV)

Sometimes, God hides things on purpose. He hides answers, direction, and opportunities—not because He wants to frustrate you, but because He wants to reveal who you are. Are you truly interested? Are you willing to search? Are you mature enough to value what looks ordinary?

There’s a story about a man who placed the key to a brand-new car inside a loaf of bread and gave it as a birthday gift to his fiancé. The lady felt insulted—“Bread?”—and refused the gift. Her friend accepted the bread instead and discovered the hidden key inside. This story is not just about relationships; it’s about spiritual discernment. God often wraps big answers in small packaging.

Here’s another example. Imagine you apply for several jobs and receive one offer that seems “too small”—lower pay than you hoped, not your dream role, not glamorous. You feel disappointed and ignore it. But that “small” offer becomes the open door to the reference, the network, and the promotion you couldn’t have reached otherwise.

God often wraps big answers in small packaging.

The key was inside the bread. You didn’t need something impressive; you needed what was hidden in what looked simple.

God hides things in dreams, in counsel, in Scripture, and sometimes in moments you almost dismiss. Job 33:14–15 reminds us that God speaks in dreams and visions, yet people often do not perceive it. So do not despise what you do not yet understand. Collect it. Write it down. Keep it. Don’t throw away your “bread” just because it doesn’t look like a breakthrough.

God uses this strategy to invite you deeper. What you honor can unlock results. Today, ask yourself, “What have I dismissed too quickly?” A dream? A small opportunity? A conversation? A gentle nudge? Write it down today. Pray for insight and choose to investigate instead of ignoring it.

Prayer – Father help me not to despise what looks ordinary, but to recognize what You’ve hidden inside it for me. Open my eyes to the keys You’ve placed in my hands. In Jesus’ name, amen.
