“Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You”
Jeremiah 32:17

Physics defines power as the rate at which work is done over time. Spiritually, power is the ability to get results and bring change. When abilities don’t match identity, they become a liability. But God is different — His abilities perfectly match His identity. That is why we can boldly declare: nothing is too hard for God.

God’s Identity

When we engage God’s identity (who He is) in a situation, we invite His power to work. Scripture reveals His names and titles, each carrying power. Facing the impossible? He is El Shaddai, the God Who fulfills covenant (Genesis 17:1). Seeking healing? He is Jehovah Rapha, the Lord who heals (Exodus 15:26).

We also engage His identity through praise and through fellowship. The more we know who God is, the easier it becomes to trust His power.

God’s Ability

God’s ability reveals what He can do. Luke 1:37 reminds us: “For with God nothing will be impossible.” To experience this, we must trust His track record. David faced Goliath with confidence because he remembered God’s past victories over the lion and the bear (1 Samuel 17:34–37). By declaring what He had done before, he invited God’s power into his present battle.

Ephesians 3:20 assures us that He is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all we ask or think. Romans 4:21 declares that Abraham was fully persuaded that God had the power to do what He promised. Truly, nothing is too hard for God.

This week, don’t just pray about the situation — declare God’s resume. Speak His identity, remember His ability, and invite His power into your present.

Song: You Are God Alone  By William McDowell

Prayer – Lord God, You made the heavens and the earth by Your outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for You. Father, I believe that. Let the revelation of this truth become my experience. Help me not to just know it in my head but to see it in my life. In Jesus’ name! Amen.
