Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases.
 – Psalm 102:2-3 (KJV)

The origin of sickness is sin. And sin is disobedience to God commandments (See Gen 3; Deuteronomy 28:15-68). Sickness refers to a state of being unwell or suffering from a disease or illness. It may be physical, mental or even spiritual. As long as there is improper functioning of the body or a disruption to one’s well-being. There is sickness.

Knowing fully that man is incapable of upholding all of God’s commandments, Jesus Christ, God the Son, came and fulfilled the law. He took upon Himself our sins, bringing redemption through His blood and forgiveness for humanity’s disobedience (See 1 Peter 2:24, Ephesians 1:7)

When we acknowledge our sins, repent, and receive His forgiveness, healing follows, ensuring that sickness or diseases does not have the final say.

With the forgiveness of sins, comes healing. Psalm 102:2-3 declares “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases”. Because Jesus forgives all sins, He also heals all associated diseases. Based on this scripture, there is no basis for sickness or disease to remain. As long as we have accepted Christ and have received His forgiveness for our sins.

We need only confess our sins as 1 John 1:9 reminds us “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” And we must repent as Acts 3:19 instructs “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord”.

The love and mercy of God make healing possible from any sickness. When we acknowledge our sins, repent, and receive His forgiveness, healing follows, ensuring that sickness or diseases does not have the final say. As we journey in our Christian walk, trusting in God’s Word, we embrace the fullness of life and healing that He has promised.

Let us, therefore, hold fast to His truth, knowing that through Christ, divine health is ours to receive.
