Sickness is the absence of health, a state where the body, mind or spirit is unwell. Sickness is of the devil and the manifestation of darkness in our bodies. Healing, therefore, is the destruction of those works of darkness.
Jesus Christ, God the Son came into the world to destroy the works of darkness. As 1John 3:8 says: “He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil”
Sickness can be a form of demonic oppression. Like all the works of darkness, it originates from the devil. Healing is the deliverance from that oppression.
In Acts 10:38, the Bible tells us that Jesus healed all who were oppressed by the devil: “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him”.
Sickness is bondage. It limits potential, hinders progress, and tries to suppress the expression of God’s power in our lives. Healing is the breaking of those chains.
Sickness can be a form of demonic oppression. Like all the works of darkness, it originates from the devil. Healing is the deliverance from that oppression.
In Luke 13, Jesus healed a woman who was bound by the devil for eighteen years. He said to her in verse 12 “But when Jesus saw her, He called her to Him and said to her, “Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity” and when He was questioned, He responded in verse 16 “So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound—think of it—for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath”
Sickness can take up any form and manifest in various ways. But healing is God’s divine intervention, it destroys the works of darkness, delivers from oppression, and breaks every bondage.
Through Christ, we receive healing from the afflictions imposed by the enemy. Let us walk in this victory, proclaiming the freedom and restoration that Christ has secured for us.

Prayer: – Dear Lord, I command every work of darkness to be destroyed in my body. I declare that I am delivered from every sickness caused by demonic oppression. I am set free from every form of bondage in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
