“For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be declared in all the earth.”
- Romans 9:17 (NKJV)

Not every wonder God performs is primarily for you; it is for His glory. Sometimes those things are done so that the Pharaohs in your world can acknowledge Him.

In Egypt, the signs and wonders God displayed were not just to free Israel, but also to showcase His power to Pharaoh and other nations of the earth. Exodus 3:20 says, ‘So I will stretch out My hand and strike Egypt with all the wonders which I will do in its midst; and after that he will let you go.’

Sometimes, God chooses a life as His billboard of glory. He raises one person, delivers one family, or blesses one community so that His name may be known. This is why Paul reminds us that God told Pharaoh, ‘I raised you up for this purpose, that I might display my power in you.

Not every wonder God performs is primarily for you; it is for His glory.

Have you considered that some of the wonders in your life are not about you at all? They are about Him. When He lifts you in your office, it may be so your colleagues know that Christ exalts His own. When He heals your body, it may be so that skeptics acknowledge His power. When He blesses your family, it is so that generations will see His faithfulness.

Your part is to testify. When the wonder manifests, don’t take the credit. Point men back to God. Say, ‘This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes.‘ In this way, your life becomes a pulpit, and God’s name is glorified across the earth.

God’s plot is that when your light comes, Gentiles will come to your light, Him; and kings will come to the brightness of your rising, also Him. Isaiah 60:1-3. So, when you experience wonders in your life, do well to direct all the glory to God.

The greatest privilege is to be chosen as a vessel through which His glory shines. Yield yourself, and let Him display His power.

Song

To God be the glory, great things He has done…

Prayer – Lord, I am available for Your glory. Use my life, my family, and my testimony as proof of Your greatness. Let every wonder You do in me become a megaphone for Your name. Be glorified through me in this generation, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
