“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus”
- Hebrews 10:19 (NKJV)
Understanding how to journey from the outer court of the Tabernacle into the Holy of Holies, the place of God’s manifest presence, provides a prophetic GPS into the deep, where the wonders of God are often hidden. We believe this, knowing that the Tabernacle of Moses is a replica of the heavenly tabernacle, Hebrews 8:5, Revelation 15:5.
Navigation begins at the gate, and the Scripture is clear: “Enter His gates with thanksgiving.” Psalm 100:4. Thanksgiving is a spiritual key. Genuine gratitude opens the first door into God’s presence. Gratitude is shifting your focus from what is lacking to what God has already done. Then we proceed to the outer court, where the brazen altar of sacrifice is. The outer court enjoys natural sunlight. In the outer court, we progress into praise. “And into His courts with praise.” In praise, you are intrigued by the name and person of God. Thanksgiving looks back at His goodness, praise looks up at His majesty.
Then comes the Holy Place, illuminated by the Menorah, golden lampstand (Holy Spirit). It also contains the table of showbread (the word of God) and the altar of incense (the table of prayer), after which we have the curtain that separates the deepest part of the tabernacle, the Holy of Holies, the location of the mercy seat, which is completely dark except for the Shekinah glory of God. There, light does not come from candles or the sun but from God Himself. This is the deep where it is all God and nothing of man.
The deep things of God are not stumbled upon; they are accessed intentionally.
Access to the Holy of Holies is only through the blood (Hebrews 10:19). Worship and prayer bring incense, and the blood of Jesus grants boldness to step where no man could previously stand.
Friends, the deep things of God are not stumbled upon; they are accessed intentionally. Thanksgiving, praise, the Word, the Holy Spirit, prayer, worship, and the blood are the divine sequence. Every stage of the navigation matters, for each draws you closer to the place where God speaks. And when He speaks, His word becomes your wonder.
Are you content to linger at the gate, or will you boldly press on to the deep? Wonders await those who are hungry enough to journey in.
Song
I enter the Holy of Holies, I enter through the blood of the Lamb…
Prayer – Lord, teach me how to navigate into Your deep. Give me a thankful heart, a praising spirit, and a worshipful posture. By the blood of Jesus, I enter boldly into Your presence. Speak to me from the mercy seat, and let Your word become my wonder. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
