‘Is there any wonder which the Lord is not able to do? At the time I said, in the spring, I will come back to you, and Sarah will have a child.’
- Genesis 18:14 (BEB)
Sometimes, the greatest wonder God performs is not around you but in you. Abraham and Sarah were given a promise that seemed impossible. Their bodies were weak, their years advanced, and the natural possibility of childbearing long gone. Yet God declared that He would work a wonder in them, and He did.
‘Is anything too hard for the Lord?’ Genesis 18:14 NKJV. That word ‘hard’ comes from the Hebrew ‘pala,’ the same root for ‘wonder.’ At this time, God was saying it was going to take a wonder for Abraham and Sarah to have a child. Something was wrong in their systems. So, in clearer words, God was asking, ‘Is there any wonder I cannot perform?’ Sarah laughed at the thought, but her laughter was soon replaced with the reality of birthing a baby boy.
Your limitation is His canvas for glory.
Wonders in you may look like healing from a diagnosis, restoration of strength, or deliverance from a hidden struggle. It may also mean God renewing your mind, transforming your character, and giving you courage where there once was fear. Sometimes, the systems of your life need repair, and only the hand of God can bring it.
Jeremiah 32:27 declares, ‘Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me?‘ As long as you carry flesh, you qualify for God’s intervention. The medical report is not the end. It is simply the stage for a wonder. The issues are there to let you know the kind of wonder you need.
Beloved, do not underestimate what God can do in you. The very area of weakness, shame, or delay may be the very place where His wonder manifests. Your limitation is His canvas for glory. This week, ask boldly: ‘Lord, do Your wonder in me.’
Your testimony will become a sermon without words. When people see the change in you, they will know it was not human effort but divine power. That is the essence of wonder.
