Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.”
— Psalm 30:5 (NKJV)
The power of the resurrection reminds us of one unshakable truth—Jesus is alive.
If Jesus did not rise, then everything else would lose its meaning. But because He lives, our faith stands firm, and our hope is secure.
It is tempting to celebrate Easter once a year and then continue with “life as usual”. But that would mean we miss out on some powerful privileges that Christ’s resurrection signifies.
The power of the resurrection shows us that no situation is final. In the same way that Jesus rose from the grave, we are reminded that every season of pain has an end. The scripture tells us that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. This means that no matter how long the night feels, morning will come. The resurrection is our assurance that darkness does not have the final word.
Sometimes, we may face moments where it seems like all hope is lost. Things may not go as planned, and we may feel overwhelmed by challenges. However, the power of the resurrection teaches us that even when it looks like the end, God is still at work. Just as Jesus rose again, we too will rise from every setback, disappointment, or hardship.
“Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; when I fall, I will arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.” — Micah 7:8 (NKJV)
The resurrection is our assurance that darkness does not have the final word.
This is the confidence we have because Jesus is alive. The resurrection is not just about what happened to Him—it speaks to what is possible for us. It reminds us that falling is not the end. Rising is always possible through Him.
Knowing this, we can live with confidence. Remembering this, we live above fear or uncertainty. Our lives are no longer defined by defeat but by victory.
Today, we are encouraged to hold on to this truth. No matter what we are going through, it is not over. Because Jesus lives, there is still hope. Because He rose, we will rise.
Song of Worship:
“Because He lives, I can face tomorrow; because He lives, all fear is gone.”
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for the power of the resurrection. Thank You because You are alive, and because You live, I have hope. Help me to trust You in every season and to remember that no situation is beyond Your power. Strengthen my faith and remind me daily that I will rise through You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
