“To whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days…”
— Acts 1:3 (NKJV)

The truth of the resurrection is foundational to our faith. Therefore, it is something we must settle in our minds once and for all.

Many people may ask, “Did He really rise?” They do not deny His life and death. These are public, recorded, and undeniable. So the question is not whether He died. The real question is, did He resurrect? That is the crux of the matter. And the answer is clear: yes, He did. Jesus is alive.

Some have suggested that the disciples came to take His body. But this does not make sense. These were the same disciples who ran away when He was arrested. How can people who were running for their lives suddenly return to face trained soldiers just to steal a body? It does not add up.

And even more, when they came to the tomb, the grave clothes were neatly arranged, and the napkin was folded (John 20:7). Would anyone go to steal and then start arranging things carefully?

No one dies for what they know is not true.

Also, the truth of the resurrection is seen in the fact that Jesus showed Himself alive. The scripture says He presented Himself with many infallible proofs. He did not just appear once; He stayed, He spoke, and showed clearly that He was not a spirit. He even ate with them so there would be no doubt.

This is confirmed by the number of witnesses. Over five hundred people saw Him at once. This cannot be imagined or explained away.

“After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once…” — 1 Corinthians 15:6 (NKJV)

Even Thomas, who said he would not believe unless he touched Him, was given the opportunity. When he saw and touched Jesus, everything changed.

Another strong proof is the transformation of the disciples. Before the resurrection, they were afraid. After encountering the risen Jesus, something shifted. They became bold and ready to stand for what they had seen. No one dies for what they know is not true. They saw Him and became confident.

In the same way, we are called to be confident in the truth of the resurrection. In a world where many voices question the truth, we must be settled. Jesus is alive. This is not a fable, it is fact. It is reality—a reality we can build our lives upon.

Song of Worship:

“He’s Alive. Amen. He’s Alive… Jesus is Alive. Forever He’s alive. Amen”

Prayer:

Lord Jesus, thank You for the truth of the resurrection. Thank You for the clear proofs that You are alive. Help us to be settled in our hearts and confident in our faith. Strengthen us to stand firm in truth, knowing that You are risen indeed. In Jesus’ name, amen.
