I will incline my ear to a proverb; I will disclose my dark saying on the harp.”
– Psalm 49:4 (NKJV)

Some moments in life arrive like unfinished pictures. The edges are rough, the colors don’t yet make sense, and the pieces seem scattered. We stare, uncertain of how it all fits together. These moments feel unsettling, but Scripture reminds us that God often speaks through puzzles. What appears confusing to us may, in fact, be a divine parable waiting to be opened.

The Bible tells us that parables are hidden things, mysteries kept from the foundation of the world (Matthew 13:35). When the season is right, what was once concealed begins to speak.

One such moment appears in Scripture when three kings found themselves stranded in the wilderness, no water, an approaching enemy, and no path to retreat. It was a puzzle with no human solution. Yet instead of panicking, they sought the word of the Lord.

The prophet’s instruction was both strange and sacred: “Bring me a musician.”

Then Scripture says, “And it happened, when the musician played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him.” (2 Kings 3:15).

Worship often unlocks what logic cannot.

As worship filled the air, direction followed. The puzzle was unlocked. What looked like certain defeat turned into deliverance.

This story reminds us that worship often unlocks what logic cannot. Praise creates space for revelation. In worship, our striving quiets down and our hearts tune in, and in that stillness, clarity begins to rise where confusion once lived.

Our own lives hold similar wilderness moments—delays that seem unfair, situations that feel irreversible, questions without immediate answers. Yet none of these are beyond God. Every puzzle we face already has a solution in His hands.

God uses these moments not to discourage us, but to develop us. Puzzles train us to listen, to trust, and to wait. They prepare us for the next season. Just as Daniel’s promotion followed the revelation of a hidden dream, understanding often becomes the doorway to elevation.

When life presents a puzzle, it is not a sign that God has stepped away—it is often a sign that He is about to reveal something deeper. As we worship, remain patient, and lean in with faith, the hidden begins to surface. The answer may not come immediately, but it will come faithfully.

God still holds the answers. And He knows exactly when to release them.
