“The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.” Jeremiah 1:12 (KJV)
God is not casual about His promises. In Jeremiah 1:12, He declares that He watches over His word to perform it. That means if God has spoken it, He intends to bring it to pass—He is not indifferent to the journey you are on. The process may not be easy, but it is purposeful. When all is revealed, it showcases the many-sided wisdom of God.
Each of us is on a unique journey. Blooming doesn’t look the same for everyone—some are celebrating new jobs, others the birth of children, some are walking into healing, and others into restoration. You may not be where someone else is, but if you’re walking with God, you are blooming too. The beauty lies in how all our journeys come together to declare the glory of God.
Sometimes it feels like our blooming is hindered. Seasons of waiting or hardship might tempt us to believe God has forgotten us—but He hasn’t. Even when you feel stuck in “autumn,” you must remember what He said in your “spring.” Sometimes, that delay is a call to warfare and intercession, not discouragement. You’re not starting from scratch—you’re enforcing what’s already been settled in heaven.
When you war for your promise, God places His hand over yours—guiding, strengthening, and sustaining you.
If you’re unsure whether what you’re hearing is from God, ask Him. He’s a Father who wants to be understood. Say, “Lord, speak to me in a way I will understand.” He will. Like Jabez in 1 Chronicles 4, you may need to get fed up with the limits and cry out for more. That holy discontent can move heaven.
Your effort isn’t in vain, and you’re not fighting alone. When you war for your promise, God places His hand over yours—guiding, strengthening, and sustaining you. The push required in one person’s life may be different from yours. But the push is worth it. That fight will not only change your life—it will make you a blessing to others.
Consider Isaac in Genesis 26. He was told not to leave a land struck by famine—a confusing command. Yet in obedience, he stayed, faced opposition, dug wells, and got resistance at every turn. Still, he pressed on. Eventually, he reached Rehoboth, a place of room and flourishing. Had he quit halfway, he would have missed it.
When you wake up each morning and it still looks like a dry season, say in faith:
“No, I know what God has said. I know it’s my time to bloom.”
And when you know it deep in your spirit, fight for it. That’s not stubbornness—it’s faith.
You are not alone. You are loved by a God who is invested in your flourishing. Even if you need to fight harder than others, know that your victory will be a testimony that feeds others. Your blooming isn’t just for you—it’s for someone else’s hope too.
So stand firm. Dig again. Ask again. Praise again. Bloom

God I Look to You

Prayer – Lord, thank You for watching over Your Word to perform it. Help me to trust Your process and bloom in my season. Give me strength to fight where needed, and grace to wait where required. Let my journey reflect Your glory and become a blessing to others. Amen.
